We proudly welcome Ralf Gauck to the Basswitch endorser family
Elected best bass player and best instrumental soloist in 2007, 2008, and 2010 by the “Deutsche Popstiftung”, Ralf Gauck studied bass in Hilversum and Miami in the 80ties before starting a long time career with the musical ensemble “Chantal”, elected band of the year in 2003 by the German television channel SWR.
In 2005 Ralf decides to concentrate on his solo career. His first solo LP “Fields of Gold”, featuring songs by the Police and Sting, gets the official approval of Sting and enters the “best albums of the year” selection of the renowned German paper “Die Zeit”.
In his career as a sideman Ralf played with the likes of Michael Manring, Tony Sheridan, Peter Ratzenbeck, Kosho (Söhne Mannheims), Jacques Stotzem, Andrés Godoy, Ian Melrose, Herman’s Hermits, Peter Finger or the Wings drummer Denny Seiwell.
Here is what Ralf has to say about his Basswitch IQ DI:
“The Basswitch IQ DI is my control center for everything I do. Playing in the studio, playing on stage, wherever I am working - the Basswitch is in the signal chain. Even when I got my signature bass, I told the luthier Xaver Tremel from Franz Bassguitars, to build me a passiv bass, because of the Basswitch. There is no need for a preamp onboard, when you use this tool. I don’t want to miss this preamp, when I am playing concerts all over the world. You plug your bass into the Basswitch and you know, the signal, that goes out of it, is the best quality of sound you can get.”
